Mechanical/Electrical Engineer

Requirements:

·        Experience with mechanical design and assembly

·        Experience with machining of metal and plastic components for prototyping

·        Experience with the design and assembly of electronic circuits

Additional Skills Desired:

·        Working knowledge of optics or experience with optical systems

·        Familiarity with LabView and MatLab

Job Duties:

·        Assist in the design, assembly, and testing of prototype instrumentation for noninvasive spectroscopic clinical measurements using the 2.0-2.5 micron wavelength region of the near infrared spectrum.

ASL Analytical is a small company with the objective to develop and market technologies for noninvasive optical chemical sensing. Our primary goal is to develop a noninvasive blood glucose monitor based on near infrared transmission spectroscopy. Additional goals include the development of compact spectroscopy systems for controlling medical and industrial processes.
